Wines from the Garda area of Brescia

In the Garda area of Brescia, the winemaking tradition is an integral part of the history, culture and landscape. The vineyards, which extend from the lake to the surrounding rolling hills, harmonize and characterize the territory, creating a wonderful whole. There are different types of wine produced from north to south, but they all stand out for their uniqueness and quality. The area between the southern banks of Garda and the Morainic Hills is that of the production of Lugana DOC, a white wine of the highest level, considered one of the Garda excellences, known and appreciated in Europe and overseas. Lugana wine can also be enjoyed in the Superiore, Reserve, Spumante and Late Harvest versions. In the area between Padenghe and Salò the Valtenesi DOC stands out, in the Rosso and Chiaretto types, and the Garda Classico, in the white, red, claret and Groppello versions. Also not to be forgotten is the small and precious production of San Martino della Battaglia, which many will remember with the name “Tocai”, which originates between the Morainic Hills and the hinterland, in the areas where the famous battle took place.
