Villa Brescianelli
Built in 1763 on commission from the canon Vincenzo Brescianelli, the villa is a typical example of an eighteenth-century noble residence and has undergone numerous interventions and different uses over time.
Now, completely renovated, it is owned by the Ministry of Justice. The majestic marble portal is typically Baroque and above the architrave is the marble family coat of arms.
The structure, imposing and fenced on all sides, suggests the prestige and power of its owner: Canon Brescianelli was in fact a wealthy landowner, administrator of the assets of the Church of Palazzina, superintendent of the functions of the Church of the Good Death and member of the body canon of the Collegiate Church.
