– Desenzano del Garda
Towards Sirmione, along the lake
Departure: Port of Desenzano del Garda
Arrival: historic center of Sirmione – Rocca Scaligera
The route that leads us from Desenzano to the center of Sirmione unravels within the inhabited centers, along the coast, allowing us to admire and get to know two of the most beautiful and interesting places on the entire Lake Garda up close.
Leaving the Old Port of Desenzano behind us, we continue along the Lungolago Cesare Battisti, in the direction of Rivoltella. Here we continue in the direction of Sirmione, along Viale Francesco Agello, the pilot who still holds the world speed record for seaplanes, achieved in 1934, right on Garda, where he reached the speed of 709 km/h with a Macchi Castoldi plane.
We continue in the direction of Sirmione, until we cross Via Matteotti, which we take on our left. We then continue along Via Salvo D’Acquisto. Once past the dock, we turn left onto via XXV Aprile, which takes us to the historic center of Sirmione with a comfortable and safe cycle path that runs along the waters of the lake.
