Sirmione Award for Photography
Against the breathtaking backdrop of the beauty of Sirmione and Lake Garda, the Sirmione Photography Prize is a fixed event for enthusiasts looking for original and exciting shots capable of winning the rich prize pool.
Born in 2010 from an idea by Ennio Poli, the Award, after its great initial success, has been transformed and enriched, becoming an important event and a captivating challenge for photography lovers.
The Sirmione Prize for Photography offers five competitions:
- Sirmione Photo Residency, a two-week residency in Sirmione during which you can develop your own photographic project with the guidance of two experts from Magnum Photos;
- Lake Garda Block Notes Photo Contest, an exclusively online competition, divided into four weekly sessions with four interconnected themes (photographs can be taken anywhere);
- Sirmione 10% Photo Marathon, a one-hour photographic “race” on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition dedicated to the Sirmione Prize for Photography;
- Sirmione Photo Marathon, eight hours to develop four themes by getting lost in the fascinating corners of Sirmione, rich in suggestions and full of life;
- Lake Garda Photo Challenge, historic photographic competition dedicated to Sirmione and Lake Garda, with a special section dedicated to the Lugana wineries of Sirmione.
Every year the most beautiful images are displayed in the rooms of Palazzo Callas Exhibitions in an exhibition exclusively dedicated to the photographers of the Sirmione Prize for Photography.
