Palazzo Gerardi
Palazzo Gerardi was built during the mid-18th century, perhaps attributable to Antonio Turbini, it was the property of the builders Gerardi, Cerutti, Ungaro and today it is owned by different owners.
The entrance leads directly to the three-bay portico divided by four columns.
On the first floor there is the main hall with a partially raised ceiling. The environment is also particularly embellished by a faux marble cornice above which a late eighteenth century quadrature develops. Two oval volutes ending in a curl are depicted on a green fretwork while on the sides there are curled corbels with a large open leaf in the centre, which act as a support for peonies and flowers which soften the structure.
The wooden doors with shell crests that space the various rooms are particularly beautiful. Crossing a small room you can notice a medal depicting Minerva with a cherub fluttering holding the portrait of the divinity. The last room in the evening presents above the fake marble frame a quadrature characterized by alternating lunettes with vegetal ornaments and shaped ovals with rich scrolls enclosing female figures. The central medal is probably the work of a fresco artist who was a student of the artist Savanni.
