Palazzina Church

The church is located at the top of via Palazzina, it was built in 1662 during the principality of Ferdinand I and was dedicated to the Blessed Virgin of the Visitation.
The work was completed in a very short time thanks to the contribution of private donations, in particular those of the Castiglione pharmacist Cesare Nicolazzi Romano who had discovered frescoed walls and an ancient painting depicting the Madonna and Child (1300) in that place.
Its importance is demonstrated by the huge benefits connected to it which were entrusted to the notables of the town (Canon Brescianelli is buried there). Inside, the altar frontal with various relics and the fresco of the Madonna and Child from the 1300s are noteworthy.
