Morainic Hills Cheeses

In the Garda Morenic Hills area, the production of two DOP cheeses, Grana Padano and Provolone Valpadana, is consolidated.
Soft, fat and lean, from bovine or sheep’s milk… the cheeses from the Garda Morenic Hills never cease to amaze.

They are mostly artisanal products, which come from local farms where the traditions and workmanship of the past are still strong. To these is added Grana Padano, a hard, cooked and slow-maturing cheese, produced with fermentation acid coagulation, from raw cow’s milk whose basic diet consists of green or preserved fodder, coming from two daily milkings, rested and partially decremated by surfacing.
