Monument to Salvo D’Acquisto
Salvo Rosario Antonio D’Acquisto (Naples, 17 October 1920 – Palidoro, 23 September 1943) was a deputy brigadier of the Carabinieri, awarded the Gold Medal for military valor for having sacrificed himself on 23 September 1943 to save a group of civilians during a roundup by Nazi troops during the Second World War.
