Memorial of the Italian Red Cross

The Red Cross Memorial was erected in 1959, the year of the centenary of the Battle of Solferino, in memory of the Nobel Peace Prize winner Jean Henry Dunant (1828-1910), who took the idea of founding the International Red Cross precisely from that moment. .
In 2003 the monument was restored by the Italian and Austrian Red Cross.
