Local Park of Supra-municipal Interest (Plis) “Morainic Corridor Park of southern Garda in Brescia”
The Park is characterized by the gentle hilly landscape, located between Lonato, Desenzano and the shores of Lake Garda on the Gulf of Padenghe. Established in 2006, it extends over an area of 514 hectares between Lonato, Desenzano and the shores of Lake Garda on the Gulf of Padenghe. The landscape is characterized by gentle moraine hills, formed following the expansion and retreat of the glaciers, arranged in large arches. The small rural centers blend harmoniously with woods, vineyards, olive groves, cultivated fields or stable meadows. The natural environment, combined with the mild climate of Garda, has led man, over time, to terrace part of the land to cultivate olive trees, vines and cereals. From the tops of the highest hills, from the peaks of Monte Corno, Monte Alto, Monte Croce and Belvedere you have enchanting views, which overlook the lake or the internal moraine system.
