Grape Festival and Historical Reenactment
At the end of the 80s the idea was born to enrich the grape festival with various cultural moments including the “Historical Reenactment” which grows and develops from year to year up to today’s important event.
The streets of the castle come to life thanks to a leap into the past, reconstructing a medieval atmosphere leading to the rediscovery of ancient crafts and traditions.
The village was animated and brought back to the 12th century thanks to many volunteers and some professionals. There are warriors who juggle in duels, acrobats, minstrels and jugglers who alternate with entertainment and juggling shows, groups of musicians who bring back ancient melodies along the streets, skilled craftsmen who demonstrate ancient crafts, commoners and nobles who show cross-sections of their forgotten daily life. Many volunteers do their utmost to ensure the success of the festival and in the streets of the castle we can count over 400 costumed characters including improvised extras and professional artists.
