Church of Sant’Anna – Barcuzzi
The church of Sant’Anna, originally a chapel, dates back to the first half of the 16th century. From the first mention, which occurred on the occasion of a pastoral visit in 1526, it is clear that the building under construction was dedicated to San Quirico. From subsequent pastoral visits in 1530 and 1541, it can be deduced that the church had not yet been completed.
It has a gabled façade with a north-east orientation. The wall of the presbytery preserves frescoes dedicated to Saints Quirico and Giulitta, restored between 2011 and 2014. The altar is inlaid with polychrome marble.
