Chisol so la gradela
Since ancient times in Pozzolengo almost all families have prepared “Chisol so la gradela”, the dessert cooked on the grill.
A poor, simple dessert born from the mix of a few ingredients. These are: wheat flour, milk, lard, sugar and a little bicarbonate.
Once kneaded, it is rolled out into a sheet of one or two centimeters thick and placed in pieces on the grill (the bicarbonate of soda was used to prevent it from dripping down the grill).
Chisol so la gradela De.Co. represents a bit of the origins of Pozzolengo.
In fact, in the past, the village based its resources on cultivation, in particular on that of cereals and their derivatives which constituted the basis of the diet of a large part of the population. In fact, until the Second World War, families’ economic resources were very limited.
The dessert has a recipe handed down from generation to generation, one of the characteristic features that allowed it to have the De.C.O. brand.
