Church of San Pietro in Mavino
Built in the 8th century AD. in the Lombard era, the Church of San Pietro in Mavino is the oldest in the Sirmione area.
The Romanesque bell tower was remodeled in 1070, just as the church was rebuilt in 1320, the period to which the first frescoes date back, which can still be admired today.
With a rectangular plan, it has three hemicycle apses externally plastered, devoid of decoration, and a wooden trussed roof. It houses a fourteenth-century Madonna enthroned with Child and Saints.
