Bell of the Fallen

The Bell of the Fallen stands in the churchyard of the church of San Pietro in Mavino, it was inaugurated in 1955 and is the work of the sculptor Angelo Righetti from Brescia.
“Julia”, this is the name of the bell, was placed in memory of the people of Sirmione who fell in war and is rung during civil and military ceremonies. In the past it also served as an orientation for fishermen in case of fog.
