Church of Santa Maria Maggiore

Also known as Santa Maria della Neve, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore is located in the historic center.
It houses splendid frescoes and a wooden statue of the Madonna from the same era as its foundation, which took place in the 15th century.

At the front, in the portico, the northernmost column is a milestone with a dedication to the Roman emperor Julian the Apostate (who lived between 331 and 363 AD).
