Honey

This product, together with pollen, royal jelly and propolis, constitutes one of the main natural foods. Its peculiar characteristics are linked to the type of flora harvested and therefore to the territory of origin. The main types of honey from Garda are: wildflower, acacia, chestnut, dandelion and fir honeydew.

Processing:

Honey is obtained from bee farms conducted on a permanent or nomadic basis. Currently in our province beekeeping is practiced according to modern techniques. Honey is generally harvested three times a year, although, depending on the climatic conditions and the production method, multiple honey extractions or just one may be carried out.
